How Are The Doors Measured?
Our measurements include the entire door and frame. When measuring iron and steel doors, we measure from the outside of the door frame/each part of the frame.
For example, a single 1495x2080mm door will include the door frame. We recommend that the doorway be at least 20mm wider and at least 10mm higher than the iron door to allow for some movement during installation.
What Is The Door Swing?
An inward-opening door is one where the doorway faces inwards. An outward-opening door faces outwards and is typically used for terraces or storefronts to comply with building codes.
When viewed from the outside of a building, a left-inward-opening door means the door on the left opens inwards.
The choice between a left-inward-opening or right-inward-opening door depends on the layout of the house and the client’s preference for the opening direction of the main door.
What Steel Is Used For Iron Doors?
We use the highest quality Q235B steel 12 gauge steel with 5/8″ (12,14,16mm)scroll work to make our iron doors. Many other steel door companies use 14 or 16 gauge steel, which is 30-50% lighter, dents easily, and has less insulation.

What Type Of Glass Do You Use?
Our wrought iron doors feature double-glazed tempered glass (5+9A+5mm) and come pre-installed with Agon glass. For custom exterior doors, we offer over 10 different glass options.
Rain and low-e clear glass are the most popular, but we also offer other glass types such as Aquatex, Reed, and frosted. If you find a ready-made steel door style you like but want a different glass option, we can customize the iron door for you.
What Is Tempered Glass?
Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass.
Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the inner surfaces into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (aka: annealed glass) creates. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.
What Is Included With The Door Purchase?
Both of our modern steel doors & wrought iron doors are including the jamb, door, glass, flush bolt, roller latch, sweeper.
We have options handles, installation bolts and installation are not included to allow customers to choose their own lock and installer.
How Much Do Iron Doors Weigh?
Our wrought iron & steel entry & interior doors are made from the highest quality 12 gauge steel so they are very heavy.
A single 3′ x 8′ foot iron exterior door will weigh around 140kgs/300 pounds with double doors weighing around 200-300kgs/800-900 pounds.
Can I Order A Custom Door?
Yes, we are factory can make any design, glass style, color, and size of steel & wrought exterior iron doors.
We provide a CAD drawing before production and a deposit. Please note, due to high backlog, custom order can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks.

What Is A Thermal Break, Thermally Broken, Or Thermal Barrier?
We recommend custom-made thermally broken iron or steel doors for northern regions with severe winter temperature fluctuations or sub-zero temperatures.
We can manufacture almost any door style, except for folding and sliding doors, as thermally broken doors.
Our thermal break technology uses composite materials to separate the inner and outer surfaces of the door, glass, and frame, thus protecting the inside of the door from the effects of low external temperatures.
This achieves thermal insulation between the inside and outside of the door, significantly improving its thermal insulation performance.
We Have Cold Winters, Do I Need A Thermally Broken Iron Door?
We recommend custom-made thermally broken iron or steel doors for northern regions where winter temperatures fluctuate dramatically or drop below freezing.
Our thermally broken technology uses composite materials to separate the inner and outer surfaces of the door, glass, and frame, protecting the interior from the effects of low external temperatures.
This creates thermal insulation, or a “break-bridge,” between the inner and outer surfaces, significantly improving insulation performance.

Do We Sell Iron Doors To Contractors?
Yes, contractors, builders, developers, and other door companies often purchase our single & double iron entry doors and then sell to their own clients. You could be paying more at another iron door company and still be receiving one of our wrought iron entry doors.

Do We Do Installation?
No, we ship directly from our factory in China and offer door-to-door delivery of wrought iron doors and windows in North America, but we do not provide installation services for iron security doors. However, we can provide contact information for some installers for your reference, as well as installation instruction videos. Customers can easily install our doors and windows themselves or find an installer locally.
How Can I Install The Door Myself?
We have an easy step by step installation guide that will show you or your contractor how to install our wrought iron exterior doors.
It is recommended that you have at least 2 other people to help with the installation as our iron doors are very heavy.
What Size Jamb Do I Need?
All our in-stock iron gates come with a 6-inch frame and are designed for standard 2×4 wall joists.
If you are using a 2×6 wall joist, we recommend a custom-made iron gate with an 8-inch frame. While a 6-inch frame can also be installed on a 2×6 wall, a trim kit may be required.
What Materials Are Used For The Jamb?
All wrought iron and steel doors include the door frame.
All our wrought iron and steel doors use 12# iron tubing. To prevent damage during shipping, the door frame is packaged separately from the wrought iron door.
Are The Jambs Insulated?
Our steel door frames and doors are fully insulated with polyurethane foam to ensure controlled internal temperature and effectively prevent heat from entering or escaping. Our doors have been shipped throughout North America, demonstrating excellent insulation performance without the problems commonly found in other products.
To provide greater peace of mind for customers in northern regions, we also offer thermal break options for custom steel and wrought iron doors, further enhancing insulation performance.
Is The Threshold Included?
All exterior doors include steel thresholds, which are welded to the door frame.
For modern interior steel doors, thresholds are not necessary, as this is standard equipment for interior doors.
How Easy Is It To Install The Jamb?
We simplify the installation of the iron door frame by welding pre-drilled tenons onto the frame.
After leveling the door frame, simply screw the bolts into the pre-drilled tenons. Then, install the iron door leaf, and your door is complete.
Are Handles & Locks Included?
Due to the wide variety of handles and locks available, our wrought iron doors have to quote handles and locks when you select the options. However, you can purchase these separately from us. Our wrought iron interior and exterior doors are compatible with most major lock brands and smart locks.
If you prefer traditional wrought iron handles without latches, we can accept custom orders.
What Are The Lock Specs?
Unless otherwise specified, all our standard iron doors come with two pre-drilled mounting holes. we also provide with frame install brackets, please let us know if you want this way.
Some doors may require an installer to drill a third hole.
To prevent damage during transport, locks should be installed after the iron door is installed. If you are purchasing locks from a third-party brand, please use the following dimensions:
